Election corner

Women public meeting held in Dhok Hasu NA-55



A jalsa was held in NA 55, in Dhok Hasu, organized by WWing VP, Mrs. Nasreen Tariq and presided by the WWing Pres, Mrs. Fauzia Kasuri. It was one, in a series of various corner meetings that are being organized by the Pindi district women office bearers in connection with the election campaign for NA 55. It was attended also by Jazi Khan Jazi, Fayyaz ul Hassan Chauhan, Mrs.Zahida Durrani ( Pres of Pindi district), Rabia Akhtar, Roohi Tahir, Hina Manzoor, Nafisa Khattak, Faeza Qamar, Abida Khurram, Nazish Khalid and many other members of the party. A large number of women voters from NA 55 were present.

Mr. Chauhan and Jazi Khan spoke about the need to bring a change and of the great leadership qualities of Imran Khan. They appealed to the voters to use their vote judiciously in the interest of bringing forward good people who will help alleviate their miseries and bring Insaf to their doorsteps.

Mrs. Fauzia Kasuri, in her speech, spoke of the confidence that she has in the women of our country and how important their role is today, in bringing about a much needed change in the country. She reiterated and reinforced the idea of women having the strength to see right from wrong and lead the campaign for justice. She appealed to the voters to cast their vote for PTI, which genuinely cares for their sufferings,as has been proved by the track record of services by Imran Khan to Pakistan

Attack on Sheikh Rasheed, 2 killed

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan News: Awami Muslim League’s chief Shiekh Rasheed escaped unhurt in an apparent attempt on his life here Monday in which two others were killed and three wounded.
Rasheed, who is contesting the bye-polls at NA-55 scheduled to be held later this month, was visiting one of his election offices in downtown city when unknown armed men targeted him, said a spokesman of his residence Lal Haweli.

Two people present at the office were killed in the firing while three others injured who were rushed to nearby hospital, it was reported.

Rasheed narrowly escaped the attempt on his life and remained unhurt, the spokesman said.
